FATIM-ZAHRA BIAZ

Fatim-Zahra Biaz is an entrepreneur, startup advisor and the founder of the New Work Lab. She founded her organization in 2011 in Casablanca. It’s a startup accelerator and an innovation lab that aims at developing, energizing and galvanizing the Moroccan startup scene. New Work Lab works with both innovative entrepreneurs and large companies aiming at providing them with innovative solutions. She started the Lab because she says: “I am highly convinced that entrepreneurs can bring innovative solutions to Morocco and contribute to the economic and social development of the country”.

NWL has become a key reference when it comes to the Moroccan entrepreneurial scene thanks to all the positive impacts it engendered: Tens of support programs designed and launched, 15 000 participants hosted, 300 entrepreneurs accompanied, 60 startups accelerated.

Prior, she has worked mainly as a business consultant in change management in Paris. She returned to Morocco in 2011 and aside from founding her company, in 2015, she co-founded Girls In Tech Morocco which is a global network that aims at promoting and empowering women entrepreneurship and technology. She received a few prizes and distinctions for her work including the Karim Jazouani Prize by Wamda and the Tizi Espoir Entrepreneuriat et Innovation. She was a jury at the final competition of the MIT Global Startup Workshop, but also at Morocco Web Awards. Finally, she was a speaker at Atlantic Dialogues Conference.
