IMAN MUTLAQ

Iman Mutlaq started her company, Sigma Investments, in 2006. It’s a multinational financial company, and director of Australian firm Ingot Brokers, which enable clients to operate on foreign exchange markets and trade with world currencies, stock indices, and precious metals.  She is currently managing Jordan based Sigma Investments as its Chief Executive Officer on international financial issues. In 2016 and 2017, she was named by Forbes one of the “100 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen”.

But Iman is not only an incredible business woman, she is also a social activist involved in women empowerment activities. She implemented six programs in Iraq that aimed at supporting 400 women to advance their careers, and contribute to the economic growth of the country. She also participated in an expedition with her Jordanian team to Mount Kilimanjaro to support the cancer research initiatives of the King Hussein Cancer Center and gave $1.3 million from the collection. Moreover, she joined at the Art of Living Foundation and became the first instructor for the foundation in Jordan. She also undertook the leadership as the President of the Geneva headquartered International Association for Human Values(IAHV) in Jordan.

She received many awards for her achievements. Among them, Best Woman in the Corporate Sector at the AmCham MENA Council Women in Business Awards in 2016 and in 2015 “Middle – East Woman of the Year” at the 3rd Global Official of Dignity Awards, held in the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
